something about different shades of green have been making me very happy lately. maybe it's the fact that Wickedthemusical Day has finally come and gone, and it's left more than Defying Gravity songs on me. It was amazinggg by the way, and i would definitely see it again, and again, and again. The citizens of Emerald City had these amazing emerald-tinted John Lennon sunglasses that i would kill to have, and almost bought in the gift shop.

But, while those would have been a wicked but frivolous purchase, this oversized tshirt thing was not. Made from what i can only describe as the softest towel fabric ever, it's as comfortable as hot milk tea and a warm doona on a rainy day. plus, it's so big i reckon i could actually fit two of me in here...in other words, a perfect size to get lost in, and a perfect size for me!

hope everyone is somewhere warm and dry today. i keep hearing people complaining about the rain, but i am personally loving it. :)

i have been trawling opshops far and wide in search of warm fuzzies to add to my growing knit army, and i found this chunky number hanging on the menswear section of my local salvos. i imagine it belonged to some really cool grandpa, or maybe a saxophone-playing jazz player. the boyfriend thinks it's creepy and gross when you think of who used to own all the 2nd hand amazingness that find their way into my wardrobe, but i like thinking of the story behind each piece. i reckon it gives it so much more character, and i love it even more because of the life it's seen.

i'm loving all this cloudyness we've been having. i find it's been fitting my moods perfectly. i put on some adelle and it's always a good day.

hello to a new financial year, and the official start to Australian Summer in fashion! It's hard to believe that all my summer orders are going to start trickling in, one lace short and crochet dress after another. and in true weather fashion, it's just getting colder and colder on this side of the atlas, with a nice bout of hail last night...a perfect companion to my cider-drinking at the favourite waterhole.

i can't believe a new season is starting...time to clear out some old gear, throw away some dogs, and make room for those fabuluous dresses i have been waiting 3 months to come in. and of course, my favourite part of the change in financial year...tax returns time!!

possibly the biggest shirt everrr, and i am not just saying this because i'm pint-sized. it took me forever to finally decide to get this lovely oversized number, even when it seemed to be the office uniform. everyone at the agency pretty much ordered it and though i liked it, i didnt really think it was something i had to have. then elaine bought it, and then left it at my house, and finally one fat day when i was feeling like a whale, i thought i would try it on just to see, and there you go. traded in my new cropped pants for something i had avoided buying on purpose. i honestly feel like some things we were meant to have, like that one last perfect size 8 dress that fits you like a glove...or the amazing leopard satchel going for $4 on ebay and you know you will be the only bidder. pretty stoked this shirt landed on my lap, it is honestly my best fail-safe piece when i am having the fattest day and nothing seems to fit right. i dont even think of those cropped pants anymore :)

it's thursday again...sometimes i wish someone would invent a new day. 8 days in a week doesnt sound too bad! 3 day weekends, think about it! i need some new novelty in my life, everything just seems so redundant lately.
