sometimes i find having to act like an adult so difficult. like, i wish i could just stamp my feet and throw a tantrum until i get what i want, instead of having to suck it up and let nature take it's course. i'm kind of an impatient person, you see. i am not a fan of waiting...and of being uncertain. if something is happening, i kind of want to know as soon as a decision is made. especially when i have a vested interest in said decision, then yes, i want to know NOW, so that i can either a) sway things my way, or b)start preparing for the inevitable.

you probably have no idea what i am talking about, and i apologize for being vague. just some personal issues i am going through at the moment.

bah.

on a happier note, kind of loving this dress/top. it is actually a top, but can't seem to wear it as anything but a dress. i guess that's the advantage of being hobbit-sized, virtually everything can be worn two ways.

and this kimono is still bringing me different levels of happiness. it's just one of those things i bought on a whim, and every day i put it on, i thank my lucky stars i didn't think twice. see, frugal people, sometimes it pays to impulse buy! ;)

squeezing the last remnants of winter before the summer heat and multitude of flies come attacking. i'm going to miss throwing this speckled batwing thing over everything.

yes, i am completely aware that i am standing in front of a sex shop. you never know where you will find yourself (or what you will be in front of) when you are walking around northbridge and boyfriend/photographer says "yes" when you ask him to take some outfit photos on a whim. that, and the fact that the photos taken with a "friendlier" background all came out blurry but one. but you know what, i kind of like the background. goes well with the modern pirate vibe the outfit seems to be projecting. plus the sheer tights + printed hearts totally go with the whole ooh la la/sex shop/take me home tonite theme. =P

...and the shoes. meet the new addition to my wedged army. LOVE the sage, seems to be the only colour i am obsessed with at the moment!

sooo, not my favourite series of photos because 1) i look like a crazy person, 2) my hair is mankier than usual, and 3) this top looks so much better in person! same with the shoes - they are actually really lovely - amazingly miu-miu-esque, and so comfortable!

note to self: must take another outfit photo wearing this top (and shoes)...orrr i can just take a photo of myself wearing the black one because yes, i love it so much i have it in two different colours. i know i know, i vowed to never do that again, but really, some things are just sooo worth it.

on other news, some of my orders came through today, yaaaay for new clothes, and booo for thinking you got one thing, and actually accidentally ordered another. was so sure i ordered this leopard print skirt thing, and have been waiting with bated breathe for said skirt to arrive. and finally finally, it arrived today and boom. i realize i actually ordered the skirt in plain black. wtf, maxxie??! like i really need another plain black skirt. all those outfits i had prepared are slowly falling down the wayside, and i can only hope they do that print again. so pleeeaaase powers that be, i hope you get my mental message...do. that. print. again.

also, you will be happy to know that after these photos were taken, i washed my hair, like, the nano-second i got home. ugh, sometimes i can't believe i let it get to this before doing anything about it...or that i actually go out in public with this mop on my head. or you know, if you knew me, you would know that that is just sooo me. =P

so, did not realize how tired i looked in these photos till now. life has literally been kicking my ass, and i'm gearing up for the neverending rounds that are sure to follow. not that i'm on the losing end, i've got optimism and sunshine on my side, so i say, bring it on, biiiiitch!

so this is the new favourite top. loving the colours, and the combination of sheer, silk, and jersey make all the grey clouds go away. and the draping is pretty, and it is so amazingly oversized, i'm actually thinking i should have gone for the smaller size. in other words, perfection.
