along with all the hassles of packing, there are little joys like discovering clothes you forgot you even had. such is the case with this singlet, which was hiding behind some shoeboxes in all it's studded glory. oh, sweet reunion indeed.

i'm doing this in bullet point ... .....

* my summer uniform. i love it, everything is just so comfortable.
* i think the top should be a bit more cropped. would definitely have to get used to how i look with a bare midriff before i wear it out
* i've had these cutoffs since the nineties, back when Guess was the denim label to own. i saved and saved my allowance, one of the first few things i actually saved up for, and sooo worth every penny!!
* i love that robot necklace, getting it for $5 at the atlas sale makes it even sweeter. ditto for the rope bracelet ($10 from Glebe markets in Sydney), and the weird coil thing.
* those shoes were worth every penny. most comfortable pair EVER, i can wear them for 9 hours straight at work and not feel a thing. the fact that they look like leg warmers is just icing on the cake.
* i would totally wear these with Doc Martens, those tall black lace-ups. not sure i can pull the look off though, for some reason any boot length but ankle looks funny on me. double funny if they're flat. being 4'11 is not fun. =(
* i am currently packing up my house to move to swanky Subiaco with the boyfriend. sooooo excited!! i just wish i could fast forward through the horrible packing and unpacking part and just settle in.

A friend gave me the netted thing and i am absolutely in love with it. reminds me of a shield-vest frodo or liv tyler's elf character wouldve worn in Lord of the Rings. it's one of those items of clothing i never want to take off.

Shiny Black Things.

i'm moving house on the weekend, and im sorting through a lot of clothes and bags and shoes to put up for sale/auction, and these boots ... ....... .... these freaking boots, i just dont know what to do with. hooker-high stiletto heel, shiny patent black, and the most amazing shape ever for a bootie...everything i look for in an ankle boot, PLUS they make me feel part tranny/part Kate, which is what fashion is meant to make you feel. Only problem really, is that they are completely unwearable. they kill me everytime, and coming from me, that means a lot. i wear 5-inches to work. im on my feet 8 hours a day. i can't even last 5 minutes in them. no that is not an exaggeration (oh how i wish it was!). they have really only seen the cinema and pretty restaurants, and how i wish i can take them out on more adventures to see the world. i could definitely use the money by selling the gorgeous-unwearable, but everytime i put them on the sell pile, i take one look and fall in love again. and really.... if you had a "special child" you wouldnt really give it away just because you couldnt take them out everywhere. and yes i know shoes arent children, but to me, at this point in my life, they kind of are.

well ... the title says it all, so here are a few random thoughts (which may or may not have anything to do with each other) ... ...... ....

* was going to wear that singlet to Future Music, but thought it might be too pretty to wear to a music festival. sooo glad i didnt as it seemed like everyone had it on that day.
* will have to buy another one of these bodysuits as i wear it so often, too many times, it rarely gets washed. yes i know, thats kind of yuck, but you should all know now im more of a wash when convenient kind of girl. i get paranoid thoughts of clothes getting ruined my the moster known as the washing machine.
* i did nothing but sleep and watch Gossip Girl and The City today. the best days are days when you do nothing productive.
