saw the sunshine when i opened my blinds and thought id dust off some of last summer's staples. how rad is this polka dot vest?? it was one of those "meh, its only $3 bucks and i dont have a polka dot vest" buys that turned out to be a great buy simply because of the amount wear it has received since. before this vest, i never actually realized nothing goes with polka-dot, and therefore it is the perfect print to purposely mismatch with other prints. ok, that statement gave me head spins but you know what i mean.

my favorite cutoffs are dying a slow fray-ful death =( i cant really complain, ive had these since high school and high school was 10 years ago. if you look closely one leg is fraying faster than another, and im pretty sure ive been flashing random strangers some bumcheek all day. this being said, i found a pair of old Guess jeans from the Salvos for $5 that i plan to cut up while watching Gossipgirl tonite. im not looking forward to replacing these though, we have gone through many many lazy summer days and hot summer nights together. i feel like im losing a friend =(

so i know spring officially started a couple weeks ago but i must say for us folks at WA, today wouldve been the first actual sunny spring day. perfect start to the long weekend, and i thought i would celebrate by introducing my newest thrifting find to the world. i was never a maxi-anything-wearing person, and after this skirt, im not sure why. they're perfect for in-between weather and contrary to what i used to think, i believe they actually make a person look taller. i love the tight bodycon shape of this one, and the slit is the perfect finishing touch. expect to see more of this baby in the coming months.

parklife tomorrow and bought the final touches for ze first festival outfit of the year today. empire of the sun, la roux, metronomy, crystal castles, metric, little boots, kaskade, the rapture...so freaking excited!! :):):)

felt like channeling his greatness, mr. wang. i wish my hair was long and thick enough to side-loose-braid. i am obsessed wit his backstage photos, will post them up soon. other current obsessions include: vampire diaries, family size violet crumble, $7 fruitwood wine, turqoise rings, sheer tights that i want to bejewell. thats all. :)

trying to get as much jeans-wear as possible before the summer months hit. i love jeans but hate how they look on me. i dont know how my fellow shorties pull it off, how they manage to get rid of that extra length congregating at the ankles, how they can do the jeans + flats look without looking even shorter. it's impossible i tell you, and believe me i have TRIED everything. i usually avoid wearing jeans unless its really really cold, but this season i couldnt resist the appeal of distressed denim. and thanks to these trusty DrM's, i dont even need to worry about extra length congregations.

oh, and it has to be mentioned ... how amazing is this floral thing??!! i am in love with the floral print, the colors, and how it seems to be confused as to wether its a top or a jacket. found it in last week's thrifting hunt and have not stopped wearing it since.

i am so in love with velvet right now. thifting has turned into velvet-hunting over the last 2 weeks. i just cant get enough! ditto on the DrM's. everytime i put them on i feel like im 15 again. see, time travel is possible, you just need the right flux capacitor :)

Found these Docs at my local Salvos for $15 bones. ive been thinking about my old ones from the high school a lot lately and so it was so timely that i were to come across these at such a time of wantinglustinghave-to-haveing. PLUS they cost peanuts. AND they just happened to be my size. no justification needed, if that wasnt a gift from the fates i dont know what is! i can't wait to stomp around in these, it'll be like the nineties never ended :)
