the top reminds me of a boy's school uniform, or one of the McDonald's staff. in fact, i was in McDonalds today and i couldnt help but notice the similarities. That being said, i still love it. i got it at a Good Sammy's on a fat day. It was one of those $5 buys that you dont really expect to keep for long but realize over time you just can't throw it out because it's somehow made it into your "if desperate wear this!" pile. The boots, i was lusting over the whole of last year but knew i would never be able to afford ($500 boots are not supported by my measly retail salary) and lo and behold, i found them on ebay for $50. i shit you not, i felt like i had won the lotto. like, god wanted me to have them.
i have been up to absolute nothing these past few days, apart from opshopping on friday which led to the purchase of a silky outerwear not-really-a-cardigan-and-not-really-a-jacket with batsleeves thing, a massive Where's Waldo tshirt (complete with oversized pockets!) that i will wear as a dress, oh, and i found that elusive floral dress. something else to cross of the list. yay.

i'm probably breaking a whole heap of fashion rules by wearing too much fringing at the same time but after i put the top on i kind of just committed. You can't tell from the photos, but the top is also a pale pink tye-dye thing. it was meant to be my summer festival top, but come festival season it was too warm to wear, so i wear it in winter to remind me of summer.

Still no rain so i pulled out the shorts for what i feel is one of the laaaaast days of sunny breezy weather. i love this whole outift, it reminds me so much of the nineties. doc martens are all that's missing, but i refuse to buy a pair because i still havent gotten over my mom giving mine away to the salvos. this refusal though, is slowly waning, so dont be suprised if you see me stomping around in a pair in the not so distant future.
i've been feeling like my wardobe has been needing a big big makeover so took one of my favorite people out for a bit of op-shop-shopping. came home with a couple goodies including the most amazing Balmain-inspired sequined dress (complete with power shoulders!) which you get to see this saturday and a burgundy leather mesenger bag all the way from italia. i love going to op-shops, it's like going on a treasure hunt, you never know what you're going to find but you know that when you find it it's always going to be reaaaally good, worth the search, and you know no one else will have anything like it.
in other news, a cat wandered into our house today and the boyfriend decided to feed it and now it doesnt want to leave. im trying not to get attatched by reminding myself im a dog person but already im thinking of names in my head. i like naming things.

they said it was going to rain. i had the perfect rainy day outfit (i dreamt it!) and was so excited when i woke up this morning. of course, it didnt rain and nothing felt right until i saw this denim jacket. ive had this for 12 years. i always forget i have it and it's such a sweet surprise when i see it sticking out of the winter bit of my closet, hidden among newer coats and jumpers. everytime i put it on i feel 15 again. oh, the magic of time travel. :)

+ i have been feeling very blah with my wardobe as of late. happens every year the seasons start a'changin. been looking around but nothing really has struck my fancy. going op-shop-shopping this Wednesday, hopefully will pick some goodies not found in Sportsgirl. HA!
+ on the hunt for: tissue-thin t's, oversized blazer, chunky knits i can make holes on (or you know, big plus if they come with holes), tight and slutty cutout dresses (that Sass and Bide bodycon dress) and that elusive floral mini, where oh where art thou?

+ running out of clean clothes. note to self: MUST. DO. LAUNDRY.
ok, so master chef is on. that josh is so dreamy, and he lives in WA. methinks its time to eat at Catalano's. heehee. (the boyfriend is hovering and he does not look impressed).
