possibly the biggest shirt everrr, and i am not just saying this because i'm pint-sized. it took me forever to finally decide to get this lovely oversized number, even when it seemed to be the office uniform. everyone at the agency pretty much ordered it and though i liked it, i didnt really think it was something i had to have. then elaine bought it, and then left it at my house, and finally one fat day when i was feeling like a whale, i thought i would try it on just to see, and there you go. traded in my new cropped pants for something i had avoided buying on purpose. i honestly feel like some things we were meant to have, like that one last perfect size 8 dress that fits you like a glove...or the amazing leopard satchel going for $4 on ebay and you know you will be the only bidder. pretty stoked this shirt landed on my lap, it is honestly my best fail-safe piece when i am having the fattest day and nothing seems to fit right. i dont even think of those cropped pants anymore :)

it's thursday again...sometimes i wish someone would invent a new day. 8 days in a week doesnt sound too bad! 3 day weekends, think about it! i need some new novelty in my life, everything just seems so redundant lately.

been in a bit of a creaturely mood this whole weekend, and have been spending everyday faffing and lazing around at home. so far, i have only come out to buy nail polish, and that was enough to satisfy my "i have gone out to see the sunshine therefore i am not a hermit" tick box. the boyrfriend thinks it's silly when i dress up for something in my day that literally takes up 5 minutes. Guess he doesnt understand that i do my silly little errands because i want to dress up for the day...even if it's just for 5 minutes.

Found these socks at Sportsgirl a few weeks ago and couldnt resist. Cable-knit anythings are pretty much a win in my book these days, and there is something about socks and winter that just go together. it's definitely up there with minestrone, electric blankets, and sex.

A normal work outfit on an ordinary work day.

Guess i realized i hardly ever take pictures of what i look like when i go to work everyday...or just how much time i spend in my 9-5 clothes. Too early for the boyfriend to get up and snappity snap when i leave in the morning, and no sun/natural light when i come home means no everyday pictures everrr. Not too mention my rapidly increasing "work clothes" collection, 9 out of ten of them are favourites that i refuse to wear on my days off.

Luckily, Bree and i have go get lunch together 99.9% of the time, and turns out she doesnt mind playing photographer as long as no one is watching,...so there it is.

and just in case you were wondering, it was a chicken frittata for me, and spring roll + chicken corn soup for Bree.

loooving my new motorcycle boots. been meaning to get a pair for almost 2 years now and never got around to it. it's weird, my shopping patterns, sometimes i hold out for so long because i think i am going to get over it, but end up spending my money on other useless crap i end up giving away after a wear or two. theeese though, so glad i finally put myself out of my misery and bought me a pair. initially had my eyes on the Frye's version, but because my feet are unnaturally small, i couldnt decide on a size. just as well, as these walked into my life for half the price. loove it when things work out that way, and it's completely guiltless shopping because i know i saved myself a few buckaroonies!

so this has pretty much been my winter uniform. knit, shorts (these ones, i can't stop wearing!), and these boots. so friggin easy, AND i get to go through my lovely collection of knits. yes folks, i have once again gone insanely crazy with my obsession-buying. no opshop left unshopped, i will find every single oversized chunky knit and get lost in them this winter.

the weather has been incredibley schitzophrenic, with most days starting and ending with a multitude of layers topped off with an umbrella. sandwiched in the middle is a little window of glorious sunshine - just long enough to remind you of summer, and short enough to assure you winter is well and truly here to stay (for the time being anyway).

its in these little pockets of sunshine that the shorts come out to play. honestly i have to say, times like these i feel pretty lucky to live in Perth and have this amazing weather.

Recently discovered these leggings at the back of my closet and have fallen in love with them all over again. It's actually a pretty timely find as it's only just occurred to me how very little bottoms i have to wear this winter. Usually i have a surplus of good winter gear from the last year to tide me over till i get some new pretty things, but as we didnt have a winter last year really, all i have is an influx of culottes and shorts...and maxi skirts. not that i'm complaining, still totally feeling all these things. life will just have to be a little colder until i can go on a little shopping spree.
