how good are the post-cristmas sales?? picked this tunic up fro $24 bones and its the perfect thing to reach for when you want to feel like you're not wearing anything. it seriously just hangs on the body and covers up what needs to be covered. wish i could wear it without the bodysuit to work but i dont think ze big bossman would be too happy with that, despite being the fan of my wardrobe that he is =P it does weird things to my ass though, i rckon it makes it look big and bulky, girls at work say it makes it look flat. well, it is flat, and i wish it looked more flat instead of just being flat, but meh.

feeling very blah about the wardrobe as of late. in the process of trying to wear at least one thing i havent worn in yonks (maybe ever for some??), im hoping this exercise will make it easy for me to determine what to keep and what to sell when i slim down ze wardrobe next month. this purple number still had its tags on, thought i'd wear it at least once before it goes to someone else. it's actually really pretty up close, a gorgeous shade of purple and just the right amount of sheer-ness. it's perfect for really hot summer days, and really, im starting to wonder why i havent worn it earlier.

how was everyone's christmas? personally, i am not such a big fan of christmas and the great production that comes with it. blame it on having no family in oz-land and the fact that i work in retail and get to see the ruthlessness of people when christmas shopping. whatever it is, MEH. even so, hope everyone had a great chrissie :)

-does this belt remind anyone else of the orin from the neverending story? best movie ever growing up, jonathan brandis was my first crush and i would look in every petshop for a falcor breed of dog. don't even get me started on the childlike empress :):):) given this, best belt ever? yah huh, i think so.

i freaking love these sandals, i think im gonna wear them all summer. i love how they go with everything, even my attempted denim on denim attire.

even the sandals were a sale within a sale aquisition, double-y down to $69! i found them last thursday and couldnt really say no to that, could i? they're a really soft leather too, which is pretty impressive for Sportsgirl shoes.

The cami is a summer favorite, picked it up at the lingerie section of my local Good Sammys. little thrifting tip: lingerie sections are GOLD. there are always amazing silk slips, floral camis, and lace bodysuits to be found if you look hard enough.

i have long turned away from the maxi dress trend whilst secretly wishing i could pull them off. for some reason i just assumed the longer hem would dwarfen my not even 5" frame sum'ore. maybe its the stripes on the dress, or the fact that this one actually hangs a few inches off the ground, no hemming necessary! but dare i say im actually loving this on me?? i guess they were called MAXIe-dresses on purpose (pun intended!). hardi har har...

oh, and this was taken in the early hour of 8 am, i just caught the boyfriend before he went to catch his train for work. wasnt actually finished getting ready, the sunnies are to hide the scary sleep-deprived eyes. ran out of time to grab the silver army i so badly want to show so you'll have to stay tuned to the next one to see that.

favorite dress of the moment, and so far the only result of my christmas shopping. you can see why and how i got distracted. the color is amazing and you know how i love these tankdresses. but i mean really, even without all those, it has to be said, that the horns and studs on the shoulders had me at hello. :)

it was 37degrees today and way too hot to do anything! all i really wanted to do was go to the beach, but with everyone busy and it being too hot for long bus rides, i thought i'd scratch something of my todo list and get some christmas shopping done. big fat FAIL. i hate shopping when i'm not in the mood. i am extra indecisive and buy impulsively. spent way to much time choosing between two possibilities for a friend's birthday gift i thought the shopgirl was going to murder me. so of course i overcompensated and bought both, plus a little sum'in sum'in for myself. i hate how everytime i buy something for someone, i buy myself something as well. bad habit #67548 in dire need of breaking!

tomorrow is going to be 30-freaking-9. i miss winter already.

so its day 3 of ze tank dress + Dr Martens combo, but methinks i shall break the cycle tomorrow. after what feels likes yonks, finally had a dayoff in synch with the boyfriend so we decided to take advantage of this rarity to lug our mountanous pile of dirty laundry to leederville. well, i took advantage, he had to carry 'em all, poor thing. rediscovered some gems that have been living at the bottom of my hamper for way too long. this includes several loose flowy tops and dresses from winter that i have been missing terribly and methinks will be perfecto for my cycle-breakage.
