well, with all this hot, sometimes muggy, humid weather, i have been hit with one realization...i totally missed the boat when it came to buying trans-seasonal garb. why oh why is it that during winter, i seem to have nothing warm to wear, and when summer hits, everything is just way too warm. i don't get it. meanwhile, ze wedge army keeps growing, and really i should stop buying shoes, and start buying more seasonal clothes. orrr, not buy anything at all, and start re-assessing the wardrobe situation, because i'm sure i'm missing something. meanwhile, i find myself reaching for the old favourites, this top being one of them. so soft, perfectly oversized, and goes with pretty much everything. i like to think it falls under my favourite category, "trans-wardrobal." when you're in-between seasons, there's nothing like old faithfuls to get you through those rough times.

should be getting a heap of orders coming through, and yay, i will have new summery things to traipse around in! waiting for a bunch of leather-wear, some minimalistic maxi dresses, and some printed playsuits to get me through those long summer months. c'mon mr. postman, i'm waaaaaiiiting!

friends in town/boozy days & shenanigan nights/free drinks/tent dresses that swish/4 mini O.P.I polishes for $24.95/the equivalent of window shopping, but with perfume/Fremantle photo ops/packages from Topshop waiting for you at your desk/winning that ebay auction/the smell of new jeffrey campbells in the morning/and yes, ok, even the sunshine is making me smile.

it's going to be a grreat week...i can tell. happy monday bitches.

soooo, pretty much the only thing i like about summer is the fact that the days are longer, so more room for activities - including outfit photo taking under the beautiful bright sun! that being said, this week being a super crazy work week see me leaving the agency later, and so still no bright beautiful sun when i come home. still though, can't blame me for trying! =P

been wearing this cardigan (there's that word again...cardigan...still sounds so foreign to me!) days in a row, and frankly, don't know what took me so damn long. yes it's another one of those "i've had it for a while, don't know what took me so long to bust it out" things. it's got this great open back with an amazing drape, perfect for them dresses with standout back features (or you know...backless dresses!) that i seem to love so much.

me thinks i have to do a serious wardrobe inventory as i seem to be overlooking amazing pieces such as this.

really sucks that winter is on it's last legs. :(

hello mister, pleased to meet you

i got my hair did! it always feels like too long between hairdresser appointments, and i love that "getting to know you" stage with you and your new hair colour. admittedly, would have liked it more gradual, but you know what? this extreme jump from brown to blonde is starting to grow on me. thinking i may leave it like this for a little while.

have i mentioned how much i am loving this spurt of winter-y weather? decided to wear something winter-y i've had for yonks but for reasons unknown to me, have never worn before. today's special is this adorable vintage jumper in the nicest pale pink. i remember finding this baby at my locl salvo's and couldnt believe my luck. waited all summer to wear it, and then winter came along, and i couldnt find it anywhere. after a massive wardobe cleanout, i found it squished between old jeans and a dark place, and it was love at first (well, second) sight all over again. not only is it warm (yay, functional!), but i am loving the two-tone gradual colour scheme happening on the sleeves (kind of like balyage for jumpers) and the little scalloped details. also, there is nothing like a good jumper to hide all the dimsum carnage that followed shortly after these pictures were taken.

wednesday already...this week is zipping by! hope you guys are making it count!
