LOVING this blazer, and i am so chuffed there is some cold rainy weather left in Perth so i can still wear it! sorry for the lack of posts lately. it's been blah-day after blah-day, as i wait for my orders and online shopping goodies to come in, so i can finally have my new wardrobe. when they do start arriving (next week...pleeease, fate?) be prepared for the onslaught of photos because yes, there will be many. till then, it's just you, me, my leopard jacket, and the adorable Catface.

i am in such an irritating in-between state right now. lately, everything just seems very "neither here nor there." my hair is in that irritating stage where i'm just sick of it and it needs a cut or a fringe or something but i'm not quite sure what, ze body is hovering somewhere between leftover winter blubber and i lose a pound on the weekdays and gain 2 on the weekends. everything in my closet is either worn to death from last summer, or worn too death from the winter just gone. even my sad bank balance is annoyingly in-between...not quite anorexic, but not enough for a major spree. thank god for happy thoughts of things to come...like my shakuhachi leather track shorts which should be showing up any day now...or the fat Finders Keepers order that just came through today and waiting to be collected....or my lace maxi skirt from Nastygal...or the front row seats to Wicked come June. yes, many lovely goodies in the horizon, i just have to keep reminding myself to be patient, no matter how difficult it's proving to be!

one of my favourite jackets that is the perfect throw-on piece when the days are in between warm and chilly. that, and the lace sleeves billow in the wind, which make flapping arms just that little bit more fun. there's a small window of jacket wearing weather left, and i am definitely milking it for all it's worth.

work has been cuh-raazy this week. one more day till the weekend, one more day till payday, one more day till the biggest sleep-in of my life! hang in there, bitches. lazy days just around the corner...!

melbourne cup day today, and we had a races thing at work. had an amazing feast, won $12 on my horse, and got to traipse around wearing this amazing dress and my favourite wedges. i am LOVING the exaggerated frill, and how it kind of just takes over the entire dress.

yes, i love grunge, and yes, i love scruffy, and yes, i dont like my hair neat. i am not a "pretty girl" or a "girly girl" or one who likes getting dressed up in fancy dresses. give me holey tights, my combat boots, and something baggy anyday.

buuut, sometimes, it's nice to put something on you wouldnt necessarily wear, and walk around pretending you were that "other kind" of girl...the one that likes the pink, and ruffles, and pretty bows. ok, so i couldn't really do the pink, but i got pretty close right?

well, with all this hot, sometimes muggy, humid weather, i have been hit with one realization...i totally missed the boat when it came to buying trans-seasonal garb. why oh why is it that during winter, i seem to have nothing warm to wear, and when summer hits, everything is just way too warm. i don't get it. meanwhile, ze wedge army keeps growing, and really i should stop buying shoes, and start buying more seasonal clothes. orrr, not buy anything at all, and start re-assessing the wardrobe situation, because i'm sure i'm missing something. meanwhile, i find myself reaching for the old favourites, this top being one of them. so soft, perfectly oversized, and goes with pretty much everything. i like to think it falls under my favourite category, "trans-wardrobal." when you're in-between seasons, there's nothing like old faithfuls to get you through those rough times.

should be getting a heap of orders coming through, and yay, i will have new summery things to traipse around in! waiting for a bunch of leather-wear, some minimalistic maxi dresses, and some printed playsuits to get me through those long summer months. c'mon mr. postman, i'm waaaaaiiiting!

friends in town/boozy days & shenanigan nights/free drinks/tent dresses that swish/4 mini O.P.I polishes for $24.95/the equivalent of window shopping, but with perfume/Fremantle photo ops/packages from Topshop waiting for you at your desk/winning that ebay auction/the smell of new jeffrey campbells in the morning/and yes, ok, even the sunshine is making me smile.

it's going to be a grreat week...i can tell. happy monday bitches.
